6.1 Gallon Fuel Tank from Acerbis for the Yamaha Tenere 700

Pretty much the only thing we really wish the Tenere 700 had more of is range. Just a little more fuel on board to cover more miles. Acerbis offers one of the more elegant solutions with 6.1 gallons that looks like it was meant to be there.

• Reticulated Polyethylene
• All Acerbis tanks include gas cap, and vent hose
• Plastic gas cap with carbon texture
• Larger capacity than stock - 1.9 gallons more
• Does not alter riding position
• Fits with factory Tenere body work
• Available in Black and Natural
• Approximate weight difference:
  • Acerbis tank is roughly 7.2 lbs / 3.2 kg 
  • Stock tank is roughly 10.1 lbs / 4.6 kg
  • Stock tank capacity of 4.2 gallons
  • 1.9 gallons of gasoline weights approximately 11.5 lbs / 5.2 kg
     

NOTE:  If you plan to install a graphics kit on your Tenere 700, this tank will create a challenge. The plastic fuel tank will leach fuel as all plastic fuel tanks do. In time, the leaching fuel will cause the graphics it bubble and peel. 

FITMENT NOTE:  The RTech Plastic Kit for the Yamaha Tenere 700 will not fit the 6.1 Gallon fuel tank from Acerbis. We have heard of people modifying their RTech plastics to fit but we are not recommending this.  RTECH PLASTIC KIT
